Meet the ePrizer: Melissa!

Melissa has been an Account Director at ePrize for six years. She lives in Chicago with her favorite furry creature Brandi The Dog. She studied Sports Administration at Ball State University but thankfully brought her skills to ePrize instead. 

Sorry sports world, Melissa's all ours.

Birthday: March 3^rd
She shares a birthday with Jean Harlow, Ira Glass & Herschel Walker (there's that sports world creeping up).

How did you end up at ePrize?
My parents live in Grand Rapids Michigan where my Mom was in bible study with another mother of a former ePrizer. She told my Mom there were openings in the Chicago office. I interviewed and although it wasn't in the industry I majored in, I fell in love with the people, the culture, and the vibe. Almost six years later and I still can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.

What attribute makes you a good fit in your position?
I'm totally a people person. Everyone has a story and I love getting to know new people and their background. Sales is a lot about building relationships with people and that's the most fun part about it for me.

When did you get Brandi?
I got her for Christmas in High School and she's going to be 13 years old this year! I LOVE my dog.

Have any brushes with fame?
I played Division 1 volleyball in college – for Ball State. I ended up in a Sports Illustrated Issue one month. Unfortunately, it was for an embarrassing moment, not for some stellar performance recognition or anything ahha. That's about as close as I have come.

Favorite Website?
Pinterest. It's a site that lets my imagination and creativity run wild. I have boards for fashion, home décor, quotes, travel etc. Helps me document and save fun ideas for later. I’m also really passionate about traveling and seeing the world, so it helps me document where I've been and where I still want to go!

Favorite movie as a child?

Honey I Shrunk the Kids. It was one of the only movies we owned and I'm pretty sure I watched it every single day after school haha.

Guilty Pleasure?
Right now? A Justin Beiber's Album. I can't believe I just admitted that.
